On April 24, 2020, the General Directorate for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises decided to set up new non-refundable and non-taxable financial assistance of an amount of:

• € 5,000 for companies with less than 10 employees (full-time equivalent), with an annual turnover (at least € 15,000) and the total balance sheet do not exceed € 2,000,000;
• € 12,500 for companies with between 10 and 20 employees included (full-time equivalent) and which annual turnover (at least € 15,000) and the total balance sheet do not exceed € 4,000,000.

These allowances are intended for commercial or craft businesses (main occupation) with a valid business permit, which are affiliated as an employer by social security and:

• which had to cease its activities by government decision; or
• which suffer a loss of its turnover of at least 50% during the period from April 15 to May 15, 2020. The estimate of the loss of turnover must be calculated in relation to the average monthly turnover of the year 2019.

Where the applicant is the economic beneficiary of several companies, he can only submit a single request, for only one of the companies he owns, provided that the number of employees of his group of companies employed in Luxembourg does not exceed the maximum indicated.

The request form must be completed and submitted electronically by the company or a representative via the MyGuichet.lu professional area, together with a company’s bank account details.
